So, it has been a while, we, Terri and I have been very busy, busy - we are getting a break, or taking one and you will get to read all about it. We are taking 'the dog' - Tikka the nose that can track anything until that is the next dominating smell comes along.
While I am away -I will A) reaquaint my self with God, with prayer and anticipation; 1) write; 2) read; 3) relax in the company of my love of my life, Terri; 4) in the presence of our d o g ; 5) walk; 6) play games; 7) do food; 8) not necessarily in that order; 9) let any one who wants to read and laugh and cry - have a glimpse of our camping trip - you know what the best part is....
can't spoil everything come back and read about it!

In Silence
Melodious voices heard from the Abbey on the hill,
Stopped
Me, where it was I walked, with leaves scattering to dance,
They did so around my feet,
Though wilted and weathered, the wind swept them into
Joyful movement on the hard-packed trail,
Subtle noises as they skipped; like flat stones, lightly across a lake.
My search for solitude, I usually found under a canopy
of a green
Over-head, barrier to most distractions, branches of strong trees,
Reaching up to worship, fully dressed in leaves,
Before the very God that gave them life, measured in tens of years,
I had been here and never before been captivated
By a song, sung into this time of change, joy seemingly unbent by this season fully spent.
Oh the joy of discovery, a newfound delight, a distant choir, a gift in a seasons' loss now
made right, solitude,
In the cold October air, damp and heavy with winter's engine pushing till changes show,
had I been here long? I did not really know,
Time and I moved forward only when the song did cease, leaving me
In Silence, walking
Softly as to not break, the precious void in the noisy noise
which makes our world, falsely seem alive, it calls us out to immerse ourselves in each
living day.
So... I pray that as we seek solitude in silence that it becomes an unselfish time with God.
For His Son's gift of eternal life, played out with creations beauty invites you - to be awed.
